Old Business:
There was no old business.

New Business:
Carol Genrich, chair of the nominating committee presented the slate of officers for next year. They are President: Charles Genrich, First Vice President: Sue Carey, Secretary: Marilee Couch, Treasurer: Carol Genrich, Wagonmaster: Lucille Severe, National Director: Dan Couch, Alternate National Director: Wayne Cook. Following that a motion was made and seconded to elect the presented slate by acclimation. That motion passed. The officers will be sworn in at the October meeting.
The wagonmaster, Lucille Severe reported that all of the rallys for 2010 are scheduled with the exception of October. The rallys and hosts for 2010 will be listed on the web site.
Dan Couch, National Director, gave a report on the FMCA Governing Board meeting at the Bowling Green, Ohio National Convention. He reported on the FMCA national officer election results details of which can be found in the next issue of Motor Coaching and on the FMCA web site. Also, Fred Kennedy, South Central Area Vice President, was reelected for a second two year term. The board voted to keep Medex as a benefit. Deletion of this benefit had been proposed as a cost saving measure. A proposal was made and defeated to allow 5th wheel owners to join FMCA. That discussion will remain open into the future. Finally, the Executive Board proposed an FMCA dues increase of five dollars. That vote must be done by ballot by the governing board. Those ballots will be mailed to the governing board in the near future. Dan said that unless there was an objection from the membership he will be voting in favor of the dues increase.
Fred Kennedy then addressed a wide range of topics. Most of his talk was about FMCA finances and the declining membership. He covered the efforts being made to ensure the financial health of the organization. Additionally, he mentioned several methods of recruitment and stressed the need for each chapter member to make an effort to discuss with non members the advantages of belonging to FMCA and an FMCA chapter. Finally, he announced that Dan Couch’s name will be placed in nomination for the post of Six State Association Treasurer to replace our own Tom Drennon.
